Wednesday 20th October

Let me fill you in on my Day 2 test kit adventure.

 First message from DPD:

Second message from Alan (DPD):

Reaction from Prenetics after my report:

"Regrettably your order had been returned to sender by DPD due to an unsuccessful delivery."

I have sent Prenetics an address slightly altered with the same postal code. It so happens that the whole village of Crailing has the same postal code (25 addresses!)  but my cottage  has no number just a name.
We have a better postal code system I think.

Hope the second sending of the Day "2" Test will succeed but I have no high hopes.

Today it was dry and slightly cooler than yesterday.

The gauge at 750 and the water slightly coloured.
A team of kingfishers raced by in the morning so that made my day. An additional two trout as  a bonus and a very nice brown trout just before lunch made it an exceptional morning.

Mike did some grayling fishing to train for the upcoming International Grayling Competition.
He managed to land five grayling and four brown trout.

He stopped salmon fishing and in a state of  panic, began practising grayling fishing because his skilful female opponent is about to depart for Scotland.

He also had a fight with 25 pheasants in the thick undergrowth on the bank. Unfortunately his filming of this event was so emotionally shaken that I was not able to edit the epic event.

We fished till dark and did not make any more connections.

More of this nonsense tomorrow.

A few pictures.
